Sculptor Simiuni Nauya and choreographer Aurélie Pedron met at one of Aurélie’s creation workshops in 2014. Over the next three years, their paths crossed several times, always by chance. Time has woven their ties. In 2017, Aurélie offered a two-week series of workshops in the countryside to a dozen participants. Simiuni was there. These workshops were a leap for all, leaving indelible marks on each and every one – and others, more tangible, through the poetic images captured by Robin Pineda-Gould. From these traces emerged In the Heart of the Heron, this unpresented work… In order to pursue this encounter and to go ever further, together, at the heart of what brought them together, they try to open new possibilities here.
